Ada sink clearance requirements.
The standard includes additional provisions for runway enclosures electrical equipment and wiring structural support headroom clearance which is 80 inches minimum lower level access ramps and pits.
In addition a minimum 9 inches 230 mm high toe clearance must be provided extending back toward the wall to a distance no more than 6 inches 150 mm from the back.

According to ada accessibility guidelines ada compliant kitchen sinks must sit no higher than 34 inches above the floor and have shallow bowls between 5 and 6 1 2 inches deep.
The front of lavatories and sinks shall be 34 inches 865 mm maximum above the floor or ground measured to the higher of the fixture rim or counter surface.
Adapted units must meet the following requirements for the cabinet and sink 30 unobstructed width clearance on the interior of the opening total height including countertop not to exceed 34 knee clearance at the front must be 29 and at 8 back must be 27.
Access ramps are required to meet requirements similar to those for ramps in chapter 4 of this document.
There must also be knee clearance underneath the sink of 27 inches high 30 inches wide and 19 inches deep.
This knee clearance must be 29 inches 735 mm high at the front of the lavatory and no less than 27 inches 685 mm high at a point 8 inches 205 mm back.

A pass through kitchen should be 40 wide and 60 wide for a u shaped kitchen.
The minimum knee clearance must be free of equipment or obstructions for a minimum of 8 inches 205 mm extending from the front edge of the lavatory back toward the wall.
A knee clearance of 24 inches 610 mm minimum above the finish floor or ground shall be permitted at lavatories and sinks used primarily by children 6 through 12 years where the rim or counter surface is 31 inches 785 mm maximum above the finish floor or ground.

Knee clearance underneath the sink is a minimum of 27 inches high 30 inches wide and 19 inches deep and exposed hot water pipes should be well insulated to prevent burns.
In pass through kitchens where counters appliances or cabinets are on two opposing sides or where counters appliances or cabinets are opposite a parallel wall clearance between all opposing base cabinets counter tops appliances or walls within kitchen work areas shall be 40 inches 1015 mm minimum.
The enclosure walls not used for entry or exit are required to have a grab bar the full length of the wall on platform lifts.
It is required to allow enough space for wheelchairs to freely move around.
